I would like to thank everyone who supported me in what was going to be my first solo effort and quickly became my collaborative effort with Mike Slamer. Thanks to all who bought the first Seventh Key CD and thanks to all who have taken time to email me with their thoughts and support. I must say that I have been humbled by the success of the first record and I am very grateful for the opportunity to record a second CD.
The new Seventh Key CD, The Raging Fire, is slated to be released February 9th, 2004. Again, this new record is a total collaboration between Mike Slamer and myself. It's hard to believe that it has been almost three years since the first CD was released. Mike I started working on this record in November of 2002. Mike finished mixing the record around the first of November, 2003. Having to work around my schedule with Kansas, we didn't exactly hurry the process. The CD was recorded at Mike's studio in Los Angeles. I think I must have made 10 trips from my home in Florida to the west coast to work on the new record. What resulted is a CD of which I am very proud. Again, Mike produced the new CD and I can't shout his praises loud enough.
Unlike the first CD, which features some unused Kansas material and songs from outside writers, all the songs on The Raging Fire were written by Mike and myself. It's already been described as Streets meets Kansas meets Steelhouse Lane. I'll let you be the judge. Regardless, I hope you enjoy the new CD.
As an added bonus feature on this CD, a DVD of the song, Always from the Heart will be offered. The track was shot in Los Angeles in October of 2003. Thanks again to one and all. I look forward to your thoughts and comments.
